The Woodlands Township ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE. THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 1.79 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY BY $-1.80.

Join The Woodlands Township for a festive celebration of Labor Day weekend on Sunday, September 6, 2026, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Waterway Square, 31 Waterway Square Place. This free community event will feature live music by Shake Down Band HTX, engaging children’s activities, strolling entertainers and a spectacular fireworks display to close out the evening (weather permitting).
A highlight of the celebration will be the always popular pie-eating contests, sponsored by Lankford's Burgers, open to both youth and adults. Contest registration will be available on site only, and space is limited. Early arrival is strongly recommended for those wishing to participate.

A beverage booth will be available to purchase a variety of beverages. Attendees are encouraged to patronize local restaurants before or after the event. Coolers, picnic baskets, blankets and lawn chairs are permitted. Please note, glass is prohibited.
