Grab your fishing rods and get ready to cast away for a morning of family fun at the 19th Annual Creekwood Fishing Derby on Saturday, March 14, from 8 to 10 a.m. at Creekwood Park, 3883 S. Panther Creek Drive, 77381.
This free, family-friendly event is perfect for anglers of all ages and skill levels. Whether you’re casting a line for the very first time or you consider yourself a seasoned bass pro, everyone is welcome to join in the excitement. We’ll provide the bait—you bring the rods and the enthusiasm!
The derby is a catch-and-keep event, and thanks to the generous support of The Woodlands Professional Firefighters Association, participants can have their fish gutted and cleaned on site. The Association is also providing free event T-shirts, available on a first-come, first-served basis. Arrive early to receive your T-shirt (while supplies last)!
Anglers will compete for bragging rights and prizes in several categories, including longest, heaviest and smallest fish, with official measurements provided by The Woodlands Bass Club.
In addition to the fishing fun, The Woodlands Township Neighborhood Services and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office will be on hand to share helpful community information.
