The Woodlands Township ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE. THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 1.79 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY BY $-1.80.

The Woodlands Township has been notified by Harris County of a ballot error impacting portions of the Township located within Harris County.
It is the Township's understanding that from October 19th until October 28th, ballots issued to affected voters may not have included The Woodlands Township Board of Directors election.
Harris County is responsible for administering the election and has advised that the ballot error has been corrected. Based on the information provided to the Township at this time, approximately 68 voters were potentially affected.
