Recycling Dilemma: Moving Boxes and Oversized Cardboard

Whether you relocated from across the country, moved a kid home from college, or just received delivery of a new flat screen TV, dealing with the cardboard boxes is a problem of the past!  Your curbside solid waste service through WM provides a special pickup day each month for recycling oversized and overabundance of cardboard boxes. The service is provided to each neighborhood in The Woodlands once a month at no additional cost.  

Scheduling Cardboard Collection

  1. Determine your pick-up day by Village. Visit our Bulky Oversized Collection page and navigate to cardboard to view the most recent Bulky Cardboard Collection Calendar.

  2. Schedule bulky cardboard pickup. At least 2 business days prior to the scheduled pick-up day, contact WM at 1-800-800-5804 or cssatex@wm.com to schedule. Residents can also use wm.com to schedule the service virtually.

  3. For a trouble-free pick-up, please follow these guidelines:

  • Flatten, tie and stack boxes

  • Set items at the curb before 7 a.m. on the scheduled pickup day beside carts. Do not lean boxes on or obstruct carts.

  • Only cardboard will be collected – No Styrofoam packaging, packing peanuts, bulky trash items or plastic film. Packing paper should be folded and placed in your recycling cart for normal recycling cart service.
