Residents, please be advised that The Woodlands Township is NOT considering a change in Waste Management services. There is some confusion on social media stating that the Township is changing their contract with Waste Management. This is not true. The misinformation is likely stemming from a city in the area that is changing to a new service.
The Woodlands Township Neighborhood Services invites residents to participate in Dog Walker Watch – Yappy Hour, special events designed to engage dog walkers in crime prevention efforts. This program trains dog walkers to serve as extra eyes and ears for law enforcement by recognizing and reporting suspicious activity while out on their regular routes.
Dog walkers are uniquely positioned to notice activity in their neighborhoods, making them valuable partners in community policing. Through Dog Walker Watch, participants will learn how to identify unusual behavior, what to look for, and how to properly report it to local law enforcement agencies.
To learn more about Dog Walker Watch, to join The Woodlands Township Neighborhood Watch, or to volunteer as a Watch Coordinator, please call 281-210-3800 to speak with a Neighborhood Services Program Specialist.
Your vigilance and quick action can make a difference in keeping The Woodlands a safer and more secure community. For more information, visit www.thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov/neighborhoodservices.
