Tamarac Park

Located within the Village of Grogan’s Mill, Tamarac Park is a dynamic neighborhood park that offers a wide range of recreational options for visitors of all ages and interests. Whether you’re here to play sports, fish, relax or socialize, Tamarac Park has it all.

Sports enthusiasts will appreciate the well-kept basketball courts, tennis courts and volleyball courts, perfect for friendly games or more competitive play. Kids can enjoy play equipment tailored for younger and older children, including classic belt swings and bucket swings that never go out of style.

Families and groups can gather around the BBQ pits, enjoy meals at picnic tables or find shade under the comfortable pavilions and gazebos. The park also includes restrooms and drinking fountains to keep everyone refreshed and comfortable.

Tamarac Park is also wheel-friendly, with paved paths and accessible areas making it easy for everyone to enjoy the outdoors. Ample parking spaces ensure convenient access for all visitors.

Park Rules

Township parks are open from dawn until dusk, except for lighted sports fields and courts, which close at 11 p.m. The speed limit is 10 miles per hour in all parks. Please park only in designated areas. Operating a motor vehicle within a park except on roads and parking lots is prohibited. The following are prohibited in The Woodlands Township parks and facilities:

  • Glass containers

  • Vandalism

  • Removal or destruction of vegetation

  • Fires (except in barbecue grills)

  • Littering and dumping

  • Disorderly conduct

  • Excessive noise

  • Swimming in lakes or ponds

  • Vehicles left overnight

  • Horseback riding

  • Fireworks

  • Soliciting funds or donations

  • Guns or weapons

  • Distributing circulars

  • Selling goods and services
