Celebrate the start of the holiday season at the annual Lighting of the Doves!
The Lighting of the Doves festival is a long-standing tradition in The Woodlands that signifies the start of the holiday season in the community. Symbolizing peace during the holidays, the ceremonial illumination of the giant doves has attracted thousands of visitors each year.
This year's event, modified for COVID-19, will be limited to stage performances, Santa's arrival to Town Green Park, the dove lighting ceremony and fireworks. No activities, vendor booths, snow play areas or concessions/beverages will be available at this year's event.

5:40 p.m. - Boni's Dance and Performing Arts Center

6:30 p.m. - The Pentecostals of The Woodlands
7 p.m. - Announcements
7:15 p.m. - Santa's Arrival
7:30 p.m. - Lighting of the Doves & Fireworks
7:55 p.m. - Closing Remarks
8 p.m. - Event Concludes

Live Video Broadcast & Alternate Viewing Locations
Woodlands Online will be providing a live video broadcast of Santa's arrival to Town Green Park, which will begin at approximately 7 p.m. on www.woodlandsonline.com. Additionally, the event will be streamed remotely at Northshore Park (2505 Lake Woodlands Drive) and Waterway Square (31 Waterway Square Place) starting at 7 p.m. Please be advised slight internet delays may be possible when viewing the live video stream.
Reminders
Those planning to attend the event should practice social distancing, refrain from gathering in large groups and continue following all guidelines recommended by the CDC when in public spaces and around others outside of your household. Masks are highly encouraged. Hand sanitizing stations will be located throughout the park. If you are experiencing any symptoms, or believe you may have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, please stay home and view the event online to protect yourself and others.
Concessions will not be available onsite. Please consider supporting local restaurants before or after attending the event.
Parking
Free parking, generously donated by Timberloch, Inc., will be available at the orange, yellow, blue and white lots at 2002 Timberloch Place. Other designated parking areas include:
- The Town Center Parking garage and Gold Lot (2005 Lake Robbins Drive)
- Surface lot at the southeast corner of Lake Robbins and Six Pines Drive
- Parking lot located at 9669 Grogan's Mill Road
